Monday's Mistake!

Happy New year my dear readers!

New year , new resolutions, new me and all that is fine but half way through January we are all the same us and no matter how hard we decide to like what we do and enjoy it, Monday still sucks! There is nothing that can make it fun and interesting , also when you are late on a Monday morning, everything from there on gets wrong and continues till the end of the day.

So a similar Monday was on 16th of January and I was late on a Monday morning. I don't want to blame anything because first of all it was my mistake that I was late to the station but afterwards it was all Monday's mistake. The staircase to the overhead bridge was under construction so only one of them was open which was used by both sides of people, and was watched by security forces who were letting batches of people onto it , so there was a queue whereas it was supposed to be empty otherwise. Well if you think this was only Monday's mistake then let me tell you it's just a teaser, the main picture is yet to come. #MondayMistake1

Then I reached college, attended the lab and then in the break I came to know that today college was till 4 pm and I thought it was till 2 pm. Again it's Monday's mistake not mine because the time table for this week is different! Thus one more reason to hate Monday. #MondayMistake2

Well then I had applied for a railway concession, which was finally approved and so I thought I will collect it today only so that buying a ticket everyday is over, but how can Monday behave well because the queue in front of the railway window was as if everyone's concession was approved today only! I went twice but the conditions were the same. #MondayMistake3

Well I hope it was not irritating to read so far because it gets even worse here after 😂, then finally after the last lecture I left college and went to Kurla station. And I see a sea of Mumbaikar's waiting for a train. In fact I saw a train passing right in front of my eyes but still after the train left the crowd was still there,  I was a little puzzled but considering it Kurla it is obvious that it's always crowded but this crowd was not fading away, then came a Vashi train after almost 15 min which was too much and I thought maybe I should board this one to get out of this rush, but boom the train comes people behave like wild animals out of a zoo and push and quarrel and all of it, and I stepped back. Well this was all because there was a problem with overhead wires at Nerul. Then after a Panvel train came, I thought maybe let's give it a try, and boom again the same wild animals out of a zoo and I stepped back. Then came a Belapur train, this time I thought now I can't let this one go, I have to get this one no matter what, but again the same picture and I was just stunned. I felt like I would be able to even go home today with this much rush. And then came the train which I finally boarded or was pushed into and I took a sigh of relief. Took some time to find a niche to settle and found a place to stand near the window between the two seats, drank water and tuned in to Spotify and heard  "Lab pe duaen, aankhon mein aasun, Dil mein ummedien par jholi khali", and these words were just a song lyric till this Monday but from now on I know what it actually mean!

#Monday'sMistake4

But then finally I got a seat after standing for a long time. Also the staircase I mentioned earlier which was to be constructed was made and I came down the newly made stairs, thus everything eventually fell in place and the Monday was finally over.

But what I learnt is that there will be some trains that we think are for us but they are not, so it's better to let them go, because they are already crowded and there is a train that is coming which has a seat for us, all we need to have is patience.

PS: I wrote this blog on that Monday on my way back home!

Happy Reading,

The Teacup Talks!⛾⛾

The Teacup Talks! A fictional tale of two tea cups! The moon is looking from the window, the tea cups are just washed and kept on the side of the sink to dry before one of them is filled with the first piping hot tea next morning. The 2 teacups are special, it's just the two of them that are left of the set of 6, the other's had a short life. But these two have survived. The silence has started talking loudly, and so have the Teacups, the moon eavesdrop their talk, and this what he hears.... Teacup 1: Hey, are you still awake after the shower? Teacup 2: (with a little shocked expression as Teacup 1 rarely talks) Umm, yes I am awake, how are you awake, you generally sleep soon after the night shower. Teacup 1: (a bit shy yet firmly replying) You are right dear, it is because I am used thrice in a day, so basically I take shower also thrice and that really tires me, but today it was only once in the evening, so I am not that tired and felt like if you are also awake we could have...

Summer Holidays in Gwalior!

Sketch of the House by Mumma! Me, Durva & a Cow on the gate! Once upon a time when the month of May used to be summer vacations, we used to visit Gwalior, a city, a district, a historically important place, and more than that my birth place. It was quite simple, the first ten summer vacations of my life were just going to Gwalior, there was no stress of packing clothes, books, shoes, sunglasses, everything was taken care of by Mumma. It was so exciting to catch a train and enjoy it for 19 hours to travel 1220 kms.  I started writing this blog once before this and ended up writing all about the train journey only and felt like the train journey to Gwalior is in itself a topic for a blog which I will write some time later. For now I want to relive my summer vacations in Gwalior through this blog, and I hope you too recall and reminisce about your childhood summer vacations after reading this one.  So it always began with searching for Patil Baba (Blog link: https://sidthissid...

Virtues Nursery!

Goswami Madam and mini Siddhi! God cannot be everywhere so he created Parents and Teachers. Parents often see us grow all along but teachers witness us only for some years and then we grow up and move on to the next class and they are left behind with a new batch of students. My first school or now as they say playschool was ‘Virtues Nursery’ where I did my playgroup and nursery under the guidance and great teachings of my most respected and dearest Goswami Madam. The name of the school was a reflection of what we were taught, yes ‘virtues’ of respect, conduct, care, love, sharing and so much more. I still remember being taught how to sit properly, how to respect elders, how to eat food when sitting with a gathering alongside the alphabet, numbers and poems. After a certain point we are generally taught the syllabus of our curriculum, but it was in Virtues Nursery that lessons on life and the conduct of it were actually taught.  Goswami Madam could teach us ‘Virtues’ as she ...
