51) इन दिनों ' मुंबई '☔☔☔☔

Being back in Mumbai feels so good. The hustle, the rain, and the local train- I missed them all so much. Time just flies, and another week shows up before you even process the last one.  On a mundane Monday on a local train, I was scrolling through Instagram when I found Page to Stage by NCPA, a free event where authors sit down with hosts and read excerpts from their published work. I had been wanting to attend one such session for a long time, but every time I found a reason to procrastinate. But this time I thought I could manage, so I checked on BookMyShow, only to realise that the show on Tuesday was sold out. So, just out of curiosity, I checked the next shows and got to know that these shows are either fast-filling or sold out. That is when I stumbled upon this Page to Stage: Anapekshit; reading the name, I thought it would definitely be a Marathi author. Seats were also available, so I quickly booked two of them, considering my friend Dhanshree would love the event. Well, ...

Books, Bookmarks and Bibliophiles!

Last Sunday (September 14, 2025) was the best Sunday of my life; it seems like God painted this particular page of my life with all the variety of colors He had! It was raining the day before, and Sunday morning also started with rain, but Rain God was kind to us and He spared some hours for the book launch of ‘THE LOCAL TALES’.  I reached the park, where I am present almost every Sunday to read with ‘Pages of Panvel’, the beautiful book community, where I walked in as the first reader back in January’25, and within months, I was walking in not just as a reader but as a writer too, and that made me a little anxious and nervous all at once.  After reading from 8 to 10 am, the usual book circle was hosted, where readers shared what they were reading, and Mumma also talked about some Hindi books that she had read. Her fluent Hindi impressed everyone, and thus, Hindi day was celebrated! Post, which Anushka Kulkarni, the founder of Pages of Panvel, handed over the dias to me. I g...

An Evening to Remember!💫

Me and the Theatre! Yashwant Natya Mandir, Matunga As the sun was setting, the stars were coming, no not in the sky in the theatre! This was my first time attending a 'Book Launch'. The program was set to begin by 5:45pm, people were let inside the theatre in a queue and were welcomed with the very fragrant yellow Chafa (Plumeria) and a cute little box of Pedha (Sweet), which was quite surprising for me, but my father said in earlier times they used to welcome audience for a play with flowers. The Yashwant Natya Mandir was a beautiful theatre, with huge portraits of the legendary Marathi actors on its side walls and cleanliness everywhere. Within minutes the theatre was full and fragrant with the aroma of the chafa, most of the girls decorated it in their hair while I was happy to see some boys also put it behind their ears. Welcome by Chafa and Pedha! The Chafa flower decorated in hair by girl , while the boy had put it behind his ears! Once everything and everyone was settled...
