Today it's 20th just one day before the fourth blog would come out as all the blogs are released on 22nd and I was worried the entire day because usually the blogs are ready well in advance but this time I started to write one blog but couldn't finish it the way I wanted to so I scrapped it. So in the evening while having talk with Mom over a cup of coffee ☕,I told her maybe this month I will skip as I did not get any story but she insisted me to be consistent and gave me the idea for this blog. She asked me to write about the Ganpati Festival. So I can say that at the end it's always ‘Bappa Morya’ who comes to the rescue.
PS: This is not a sound pollution, water pollution or air pollution blog !
After two years of celebrating festivals in the pandemic, finally this time it felt like old normal. The actual normalcy was retained in every possible way.
Ganpati Bappa's arrival is in itself so divine and much awaited. It's like the homecoming of a family member. The decoration, backdrop, flower arrangement, garlands, diyas and lighting everything falls in place when Bappa arrives. In him we see a grandparent , a parent, a sibling, a friend, a guide, a philosopher and the list is never-ending. He comes and brings along with him positive vibes that stay back until his next arrival.
The best part is the sweets , because of which the house smells sweet all the time. The Modaks, sheera, pedha, ladoo, halwa, kheer, panch khadya etc( actually its mouth watering to even write this). Having so much of sweet unapologetically as Prasad thinking these calories won't count as Bappa will manage it, is like an annual unsaid deal.😂
The family, friends and family friends coming over is yet another cherry 🍒 on the cake🍰. Having potato chips and mava modak with all the friends and at all the friends home's is like a ritual now.
More than anything it's a great rendezvous with all those who sail us through thick and thin. It's an opportunity that Bappa gives us on account of his stay that we meet, greet and spend quality time with our support systems and this time after 2 years it felt so heartwarming to see all the faces happy again!
And then comes the moment which is inevitable yet the heart always longs for more, more days of Bappa's stay, but then that's life we have to make peace ☮️ with it and accept the fact that nothing is immortal. Though Bappa's physical immersion is a mere representation, he stays in all our hearts all along the year.
Thus we say "Ganpati Bappa morya pudhchya varshi lavkar yaa!!"
Stay tuned,
Until next time,
Keep reading.
